This Privacy Policy explains how StraightBet SA collects, uses, stores and protects personal information, in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (“POPIA”).

Who is responsible for your information

What personal information we collect

Depending on how you use our website, we may collect:

Contact form submissions are retained only as long as needed to address the relevant enquiry, unless a longer period is required for legal or record-keeping purposes.

Security measures

We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information, including SSL/HTTPS encryption, access controls on our website backend, web application firewall and malware-scanning protection, and regular software updates and backups. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your rights under POPIA

Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to:

• request access to the personal information we hold about you;
• request correction of inaccurate or outdated personal information;
• object to certain processing, or request deletion of personal information, in appropriate circumstances;
• withdraw consent previously given, without affecting processing that occurred before withdrawal; and
• lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator if you believe your personal information has been processed unlawfully.

Children’s privacy

StraightBet SA’s content is intended only for adults aged 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children, and our website is not designed to appeal to or target minors.

Our website contains links to third-party betting operators and other organisations. Once you leave straightbet.co.za, that third party’s own privacy policy applies. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of external websites.
