Tonight’s PSL fixtures bring Orlando Pirates, Mamelodi Sundowns, Kaizer Chiefs and AmaZulu into action at the same time, with four league matches scheduled for Tuesday, 13 October 2026. Pirates host TS Galaxy, Sundowns visit Richards Bay, Chiefs welcome Stellenbosch and Durban City face AmaZulu in a KwaZulu-Natal derby.

For the two MTN8 finalists, the turnaround is particularly sharp. Sundowns beat Pirates 2-0 on Saturday and both now have another three points to chase. Elsewhere, Chiefs return from the international break, while Eric Tinkler takes charge of Durban City for the first time. Those different preparations are central to our match-by-match betting picks.

Orlando Pirates vs TS Galaxy

Pirates’ home league record gives them a strong platform for a response to the cup-final defeat. They have beaten Milford, Sekhukhune United and Durban City 2-0 at Orlando this season, and sit on 19 points from seven matches.

Galaxy arrive with six points and only one win. The Pirates match preview records successive home defeats against Kruger United and Chippa United before the break, but there is a useful counterweight: Galaxy are unbeaten in their three away league games, with one victory and two draws.

Our betting tip: Orlando Pirates to win in the 90-minute match-result market.

The case rests on Pirates’ consistent home results and stronger start. Galaxy’s away resilience and the hosts’ short recovery period make a heavy winning-margin bet less convincing. A straightforward home win allows Pirates to deliver without needing another 2-0 scoreline. Check the starting XI for changes following Saturday’s final before taking the price.

Richards Bay vs Mamelodi Sundowns

Sundowns head to Princess Magogo Stadium with the MTN8 secured and the league lead to protect. The PSL table gives them six wins and two draws from eight games, with 19 goals scored. Richards Bay remain winless after seven, having conceded 16 goals.

The home side have still found the net nine times. Their 2-2 draw with Chiefs earlier in the campaign is a reminder that they can cause problems going forward, even when the result goes against them.

Our betting tip: Mamelodi Sundowns to win in the 90-minute match-result market.

This is our clearest away-win selection on the programme: Sundowns’ attacking output meets a defence that has struggled to keep opponents out. The short turnaround after the final is the main reservation, particularly if it brings several changes. Richards Bay’s scoring record also makes us reluctant to attach a clean-sheet requirement to the pick. Sundowns can concede and still land the away win.

Kaizer Chiefs vs Stellenbosch

Chiefs are unbeaten after seven league matches, although four draws have limited them to 13 points. Their most recent league outing finished 0-0 against Golden Arrows. Stellenbosch ended a three-match winless run by beating Kruger United 1-0 before the international break.

There is a busy spell ahead for Amakhosi. The club’s latest preview outlines five fixtures in 17 days across four competitions, beginning with this meeting at FNB Stadium. Getting back into rhythm quickly would make that programme easier to manage.

Our betting tip: Kaizer Chiefs draw no bet.

Home advantage and Chiefs’ unbeaten start give them the edge in our assessment, but the frequency of draws makes this a better fit than an outright home-win selection. Draw no bet returns the stake if the match finishes level; a Stellenbosch win still loses the bet. Our PSL betting guide explains the main market options. Stellies’ recent win is the main reason to keep confidence measured.

Durban City vs AmaZulu

The coaching change is the biggest news at Chatsworth. Durban City’s official preview confirms that Tinkler will lead the side for the first time. City are tenth, while third-placed AmaZulu have won five of their seven league games and collected 16 points.

City’s own start has brought one win and four draws. They have conceded only five league goals, so the gap in points does not by itself justify expecting AmaZulu to win comfortably.

Our betting tip: AmaZulu draw no bet.

Usuthu have the stronger record of converting matches into wins, which is why we favour them. The draw refund suits a meeting with opponents who have drawn more than half their league games. City’s first match under Tinkler adds uncertainty about their approach, so an AmaZulu defeat remains a real possibility. The price must still justify taking the away side.

The Betting Read

Pirates and Sundowns are our preferred match winners. Chiefs draw no bet and AmaZulu draw no bet are the selections for the closer contests. These are editorial predictions based on the evidence above, with final team selection still to come; they are not claims that any available odds offer value.

Treat each as a separate decision. Adding all four to one accumulator means a single losing selection can undo the others, as our accumulator betting guide explains. A short price is not improved simply by pairing it with three more bets.

Use our South African betting-site comparisons to explore the operators we cover. With all four games starting at 19:30, make the final price and team-sheet checks before kick-off, then choose the individual bets that still make sense.
